Department of Life Long Learning And Extension (DLLE)

The Department of Life Long Learning & Extension (DLLE) has been recognized as a Statutory Department of the University of Mumbai since 1994. It aims to promote a sustained rapport between the University & the Community. The Extension dimension of the Department facilitates the sensitization of the students to the socio-cultural realities.

The department offers extension work projects encompassing social issues to the students. The Department of Life Long Learning & Extension (DLLE) of our college started the enrollment of students from the month of June and it enrolled a total of 401 students for the academic year 2024-25.

The Department is spearheaded by Dr. Mahendra Pachadkar (HOD Department of Business Law ) & four most enthusiastic teachers Dr. Seema Shukla , Ms. Varsha Tandel, Mr. Sandeep Gupta and Ms Vibha Bhavsar . To ensure efficiency in the execution of the extension work & to assist the teachers in the work involved, the extension activity of the Student Managers is felt pivotal. The pillars of the department (Student Managers) are Mr. Abdullaha Lakdawala , Mr. Aniket Parab, Mr. Suyash Parab, Mr. Hemant Sahani, Ms. Ruchita Madavkar, Ms. Sakshi Jadhav, Ms. Yashasvi Sadekar, Ms. Mrudula Ms. Hiral Jain , Mr. Rishikesh Pandey, Mr. Anuj Pandey, Mr. Pratik Inglore, Ms. Tejashri Katkar, The Department was inaugurated at the hands of Principal Prof. Dr. D. n. Ganjewar

The Department this year enrolled students under extension work project titled “Population Education Club”. to educate students and the public about population dynamics, development, social and environmental issues to foster responsible citizenship and improve quality of life.

We are proud to state that our college won the First Prize (Trophy, Medal and Certificates) at Inter-Collegiate Street Play and Powada Singing Competition–UDAAN – ‘A Flight to Extension’ organized by the The Department of Life Long Learning & Extension (DLLE), University of Mumbai at KES Shrof College, Kandivli on 10th February , 2025 Our skit titled “ Wo Char Log” वो चार लोग” and “ भारताचे संविधान” in Powada Singing Competition. performed at the UDAAN festival conveyed a strong social message of our Career Selection of Youngsters . Our Powada attracted the minds of the examiners and audience too which spoke about the importance of Indian Constitution. Our Drama Director- Mr. Aniket Kahid the driving force in polishing the acting skills of our budding extension actors. Our extension work actors – KATKAR TEJASHRI, TIRLOTKAR TANVI, TENDULKAR MRUDULA, KHAN AYESHA, UCHGAONKAR VIVEK, CHAWKEKAR PAWAR SUJAL, PANDEY RISHIKESH, PALKAR GYATRI, MAHADIK ANTARA, LONDHE KOMAL, KERLEKAR DARSHAN, KADAM SAKSHI, PATIL PURVA, SAMRUDHI NARKAR, VANJARI OMKAR, and SHIRKE AMODH . UDAAN – In Inter-collegiate Elocution Competition our DLLE Student Mr. Mishra Dheeraj was felicitated with Third Place, Bronze Medal with Certificate of University of Mumbai-DLLE. The Department is grateful for all the help & support provided by the Respected Management, Principal Prof. Dr. D.N Ganjewar for always being supportive, teaching & the non-teaching staff for their continuous help.
