FYBAMMC Orientation (28th June, 2025)

The B.A.M.M.C. Department organised an Orientation Programme for FYBAMMC students on 28th June 2025 to warmly welcome them into the college environment. The session aimed to familiarise students with institutional rules and regulations, academic structure, and expectations throughout their course. It also served as an introductory platform for students to understand the functioning of the department and faculty support available to them. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Digambar N. Ganjewar and Vice Principal Ms. Subhashini Naikar. The session was coordinated by Ms. Akanksha Mangavkar (BAMMC Coordinator), along with faculty members Ms. Neha Sharma.

Pride Assemblage (5th July, 2025)

On 5th July 2025, the B.A.M.M.C. Department, in association with the Inclusion Cell, organised a Pride Assemblage event. The event focused on promoting awareness and acceptance of the LGBTQIA+ community through the screening of impactful short films. Distinguished guests for the event included Mr. Ashish Pandya, Mrs. Aruna Desai, and Ms. Rayyan Monkey, who shared valuable insights on inclusivity and representation. The programme was conducted under the leadership of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Digambar N. Ganjewar and Vice Principal Ms. Subhashini Naikar. It was coordinated by Ms. Akanksha Mangavkar, with support from faculty members Ms. Neha Sharma and Ms. Farzin Dalal.

Workshop on Lighting Setup (30th July, 2025)

A Workshop on Lighting Setup was conducted on 30th July 2025 in association with the Shutter and Screen Club. The objective of the workshop was to equip students with technical knowledge and practical understanding of lighting techniques and their impact on filmmaking and visual storytelling. The session was conducted by guest expert Mr. Freddy Singaraj, who demonstrated various lighting setups and explained their application in media production. The event was coordinated by Ms. Akanksha Mangavkar, along with faculty members Ms. Neha Sharma and Ms. Farzin Dalal.

Talent Hunt 2.0 (23rd August, 2025)

Talent Hunt 2.0 was organised to provide a platform for first-year students to showcase their talents and creativity. The event encouraged participation across various categories, helping students express their skills and build confidence. The programme was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Rajiv Lakshman. The judging panel included Mr. Tushar Mestry, Mr. Raahil Ansari, and Ms. Tanvi Gada. The event was conducted under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Digambar N. Ganjewar, Vice Principal (SFC) Ms. Subhashini Naikar, and Vice Principal (Degree College) Dr. Madhavi Nighoskar. It was coordinated by Ms. Akanksha Mangavkar with support from Ms. Neha Sharma and Ms. Farzin Dalal. A total of 91 students participated in the event.

Parent-Teacher Meeting

Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM) were conducted throughout the year discussing students’ attendance and internal academic performance. The meetings focused on strengthening communication between parents and faculty, ensuring better academic support and progress monitoring for students, updating parents on academic progress, reviewing academic progress, attendance, overall student performance and addressing any concerns.

Ek Kitaab Ek Kalam (26th August, 2025)

The “Ek Kitaab Ek Kalam” initiative was organised in collaboration with The Leo Club of Malad Borivli. The objective of the initiative was to support underprivileged children by providing them with educational resources and promoting the importance of education. The event was coordinated by Ms. Akanksha Mangavkar, along with Ms. Neha Sharma and Ms. Farzin Dalal. Students actively contributed to the initiative, with participation from FYBAMMC (28 students), SYBAMMC (23 students), and TYBAMMC (20 students), making a total of 71 student contributors.

Capture Carnival (30th September, 2025)

“Capture Carnival” was organised on 30th September 2025 in association with the Shutter and Screen Club. The primary objective of the event was to provide a creative platform for students to showcase their photography and videography skills. The event encouraged visual storytelling and technical exploration among students. It was coordinated by Ms. Akanksha Mangavkar, along with faculty members Ms. Neha Sharma and Ms. Anushka Kamble.

Webinar on Research Design and Data Analysis (19th November, 2025)

A webinar on Research Design and Data Analysis was conducted for SYBAMMC students on 19th November 2025. The session aimed to enhance students’ understanding of research methodologies and analytical techniques. The webinar was delivered by guest speaker Mr. Vibhav Galadagekar. It was coordinated by Ms. Akanksha Mangavkar and Ms. Neha Sharma. A total of 29 students attended the session.

Webinar on Constitution Day and Media (26th November, 2025)

On the occasion of Constitution Day, a webinar was conducted on 26th November 2025 focusing on the Constitution and the role of media as the fourth pillar of democracy. The session was conducted by Mr. Vibhav Galadagekar and organised under the guidance of Vice Principal (SFC) Ms. Subhashini Naikar. The event was coordinated by Ms. Akanksha Mangavkar and Ms. Neha Sharma.

Media Mantra (21st January, 2026)

Media Mantra, an intercollegiate media festival, was organised on 21st January 2026 by the B.A.M.M.C. Department in association with Media Lounge. The festival featured a variety of competitions such as dance, rapping, storytelling, videography, and advertisement making. The event provided students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and compete with peers from different colleges. It was coordinated by Ms. Akanksha Mangavkar, Ms. Neha Sharma, and Ms. Farzin Dalal. A total of 48 students participated in the festival.

Visit to MET for Mass Media Skill Development Workshop (28th February, 2026)

On 28th February 2026, SY and TY BAMMC students were taken for an educational visit to MET. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to media production and digital tools. Students gained hands-on knowledge in areas such as copywriting, audio and video editing, and the use of digital marketing tools, enhancing their industry readiness.

One Day RJ Activity (24th March, 2026)

A“One Day RJ” activity was conducted on 24th March 2026 by the B.A.M.M.C. Department. The activity provided students with practical experience in radio presentation and hosting. Participants got an opportunity to perform as Radio Jockeys, enhancing their communication and presentation skills. The activity was coordinated by Ms. Akanksha Mangavkar, along with Ms. Neha Sharma and Ms. Farzin Dalal. A total of six students actively participated in the activity.
