This is an important management position, and you will be reporting to senior management. You will be responsible for many of the employees, and ensure everyone’s departments are performing at their optimal best.

b. Project Management (Executive Level)

Executive-level projects are the backbone of any organisation. These projects are at this level because they are important for the organization’s business. A lot is riding on such projects. You, as a part of the project management, have to ensure the projects are completed on time successfully. You have to manage everyone involved as a team, and be a good leader. You also have to prepare reports regarding the project for review by senior management.

c. Enterprise Management

When a company has large-scale operations with employees in the thousands and revenue is millions, then that company is an enterprise. Managing the day-to-day functionalities of an enterprise through ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is the main task in enterprise management.

d. Human Resource Management And Development

The HR department is one of the most important departments in an organisation. As an HR, your role would be to ensure that you hire talented employees for the company, and ensure all the existing employees are happy. You also have to solve any professional grievances of the employees and have to be the communication bridge between the employees and the higher management. This is quite a responsible department as they ensure the whole company is working smoothly.

e. Customer Management

One of the most difficult yet important departments to work in is the customer management department. As someone in a managerial position, your main job would be to help get new customers, keep the existing customers happy, and keep the people working in the department happy and working as a team. Customer retention is so important because most of the business comes from existing customers. Therefore, this is one of the main roles of management in the customer management department.

f. Data Management And Systems Analysis

Positions in this department require you to have technical knowledge as well. Data management is the next big thing, and you need to adapt at using multiple software and methods for data collection, storage, management, and analysis. You should know if the current data management systems are enough or is there a need to upgrade or overhaul. You also need to be able to understand the data and prepare reports based on that data. Your reports provide management insight to make important decisions.

g. Sales And Marketing

Most of the profits are brought in by the sales and marketing departments. As a manager in sales, you will have to manage the people, ensure they are motivated and keep increasing their sales numbers. In the marketing department, you will have to manage the employees, create brand awareness by rightly marketing the product and services, and create marketing strategies that will help increase sales.

h. Financial Management

In financial management, there are many different kinds of roles and responsibilities. You can be a part of the accounting and finance department of a company and manage the money. In some companies, the finance department is about investing and trading in assets. You can become an advisor and advise on investment to the customers of your company. You can also be an independent financial advisor and earn a lot of money.

i. Communications Management

In a company, there is internal and external communication. This is mostly managed by the communications department. In this department, you will have to manage the outgoing communication that happens to customers, associates, partner companies, and the general public. It also applies to communication regarding our products and services. Regarding internal communication, this department has to manage inter-departmental communication, employee communication, and communication between staff and management.

Entrepreneurial Premier League (EPL) 2K25

– A Celebration of Innovation, Culture & Entrepreneurship

The Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) Department proudly hosted EPL 2K25, a vibrant and impactful event held on March 3rd, 2025. This year’s edition brought together creativity, innovation, cultural richness, and real-world business exposure—making it a standout initiative that continues to empower the entrepreneurial spirit in students.

Dual Format – A New Milestone

For the first time, EPL 2K25 was conducted in two dynamic formats, each offering unique learning experiences:

🌟 1. Brick & Mortar Stalls

Students set up stalls in the college foyer, showcasing and selling their self-made products and services. This hands-on activity helped them experience real-life sales, marketing, customer engagement, and teamwork—bringing textbook learning to life.

🦈 2. Dalmia Shark Tank

This new addition to EPL 2K25 took the event to the next level. Inspired by the popular Shark Tank format, students pitched their business ideas to a panel of industry experts and potential investors. This simulation of a real-world business pitch allowed students to receive valuable feedback, improve their presentation skills, and interact with professionals from the business world.

Event Proceedings

The grand event began with an inauguration ceremony in the foyer, featuring the traditional lighting of the lamp and ribbon-cutting by esteemed dignitaries. A lively student performance followed, after which the dignitaries visited the stalls, interacting with student entrepreneurs.

The program then moved to the auditorium, where:

  • A highlight video of EPL was screened
  • The “Lion Renu Sharad Ruia Rotating Trophy” was unveiled
  • Inspiring speeches were delivered by the Principal, Vice Principal, and BMS Coordinator
  • The Chief Guest Mr. Sumeet Kabra (Director, RR Global) and Guest of Honour Mr. Ketan Doshi (Managing Director, PayPoint India) addressed the gathering and were felicitated
  • The event concluded with a warm vote of thanks

Special Achievement of the Year – Dalmia Shark Tank

The introduction of the “Dalmia Shark Tank” format was the highlight of EPL 2K25. This exciting new format brought a fresh dimension to the event, marking a shift from traditional stalls to strategic idea pitching and business planning.

Key Highlights of the Dalmia Shark Tank:

  • Encouraged Entrepreneurial Thinking: Students learned to develop, refine, and defend business models.
  • Built Key Skills: Strategic thinking, communication, and persuasive pitching were major takeaways.
  • Industry Mentorship: Interaction with business leaders provided real-world insights and inspiration.
  • Elevated Learning: The simulation of a high-stakes environment made the learning more engaging and practical.

Theme of the Year

Following the tradition of celebrating India’s rich cultural diversity, EPL 2K25 was themed “Adoring the States of India – Jammu & Kashmir and Lakshadweep.” The event beautifully showcased the unique traditions, colors, and vibrancy of these two diverse regions, emphasizing unity in diversity.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiative

EPL 2K25 once again reinforced its commitment to social good. A free stall was allotted to the Sushirmala NGO Foundation, a registered organization dedicated to charitable causes. Their stall featured:

  • Eco-friendly products made by recycling temple flowers
  • Pooja essentials, handmade jewelry, and sustainable kitchen items
  • All proceeds supported community welfare activities

This CSR initiative added a meaningful layer to the event, blending business with compassion and creating a positive social impact.

EPL (Entrepreneurial Premier League) – The BMS program organizes EPL, an annual intra-collegiate event for the students of the college to showcase their entrepreneurial skills. Entrepreneurial Premier League motivates students to explore education beyond the classroom walls and acquire skills that would propel their ideas. EPL has creatively come up with a platform of discovering among the students’ entrepreneurial skills, to learn first-hand about new ideas, to meet and know customers’ expectations, to learn collaboration, teamwork & to cope better with challenges in practical life. The department continued its best practice even online through a virtual platform and is now continuing its legendary offline practice.

Entrepreneurial Premier League-EPL2K23
Theme of the event: EPL2K23 this year celebrated the theme of “Adoring the States of India”. The theme signifies the concept of Unity in Diversity and this year EPL commenced to portray unity between the states of Maharashtra and West Bengal.
Object of the event: The main object of EPL is to inculcate an entrepreneurial mindset among students. The event aims to motivate students to take entrepreneurship as a career imbibed with leadership qualities using innovative and ethical business practices. Epl gives a platform to students to showcase their business skills by putting up  stalls and experiencing the same practically.
Benefits of participating in the event:
  • Develop entrepreneurial skill among students
  • Boost leadership qualities
  • Develops problem solving skills
  • Enhances creativity and innovation
  • Prepares students for taking risks in business
  • Personal growth & development
About the event: There were 21 stalls of size 10*10 in the foyer area. Each stall had a maximum of 4 students. As a part of CSR one stall was given chargeless to Ms. Priyanka Chitre who is a partially blind girl to display, sell and promote her business and products.

With an aim to go beyond academics, industrial visit offers students a practical perspective on the world of work.
