1. Financial Analyst

  • Role: Analyze financial data, company performance, and market trends to assist in investment decisions.
  • Employment Areas: Investment firms, banks, equity research firms, consulting companies.
  • Skills Needed: Strong analytical ability, Excel/Power BI, knowledge of ratios, forecasting, and valuation methods.

2. Equity Research Analyst

  • Role: Conduct in-depth research on listed companies and sectors, recommend buy/sell/hold ratings.
  • Employment Areas: Stock brokerage firms, portfolio management companies, investment banks.
  • Certifications Helpful: NISM Research Analyst, CFA Level I and above.

3. Financial Planner

  • Role: Help clients plan their personal finances including budgeting, tax planning, retirement, and investments.

4. Risk Manager / Credit Analyst

5. Stock Broker / Dealer

6. Mutual Fund Advisor / Wealth Manager

  • Role: Guide individuals and institutions in making mutual fund and wealth management decisions.
  • Employment Areas: Asset management companies, financial advisory firms, banks.
  • Certifications: NISM Series VA (Mutual Fund Distributor), CFP.

7. Entrepreneur / Fintech Startup Founder

  • Role: Start your own financial advisory, trading platform, or fintech service.
  • Support Needed: Business acumen, digital knowledge, funding access, regulatory knowledge.
  • Orientation – Making First Year students aware about the program.
  • PTA Meetings – PTA meetings were conducted during the year for Semester I, II, III, IV, V and VI to inform the parents about their ward’s attendance. This was done to keep parents in loop about the functioning of the college and lectures amidst the pandemic
  • Guest lectures for various important industrial practices in the field of Investment in Mutual Funds, Shares, and Government Securities etc.
  • The department organises various visits to RBI, SEBI, BSE, NSE etc. every year to enhance practical knowledge and experience of each and every student.
  • Organization of various activities such as Fynamics and Dalmia Stock Exchange (DSE) etc.
  • Seminars and webinars are being organised as per the needs and requirements of the students.

Aryan Raju Kamble has shown remarkable consistency and success, particularly in the Street Play category across multiple events. He has participated in and won numerous competitions, showcasing outstanding performance, creativity, and teamwork. His achievements include:

Participated in Illusion 2K24, adding to the BFM Department’s growing footprint in inter-college festivals.

Intra-collegiate Event Winners:

  1. In the “Entrepreneurial Tales 2K25” event conducted by the BBI department, Shruti Pandey from TYBFM won the First Prize for her outstanding presentation and innovative approach.
  2. In the BBI intra-collegiate event “Break the Ice”, Rahul Mali from FYBFM secured the First Prize, showcasing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • College organises seminars/webinars for the cognitive development of the students in which we provide them knowledge and benefits of investment to inculcate the habit of savings among them by providing them a digital platform where they can open a trading account and gain practical knowledge about online trading.
  • Social outreach for contributing to society by exposing students to collaborative efforts, ground level reality & understanding opportunities through field visits to various industrial places where they can explore themselves & showcase their skills & gain knowledge.
  • Organised a seminar on career guidance in finance for students of third year.
  • The Fynamics event, an intercollegiate event, saw enthusiastic participation from 40 teams of 2 members each. The event was centered around finance and accounting and designed to test both theoretical understanding and practical skills through three rounds. Round 1 featured multiple-choice questions assessing core finance and accounting concepts, with the top 15 teams progressing to Round 2. Round 2 required teams to create balanced investment portfolios based on varying levels of risk-high, moderate, and low. Round 3 was a mock trading simulation, where participants demonstrated real-time decision-making and strategy execution.
  • Dalmia Stock Exchange event was conducted and a total of 34 teams from 15 prestigious colleges across Mumbai participated, making the event a dynamic inter-collegiate competition. The structure mirrored real-world financial operations through three progressive rounds: finance-based MCQs, portfolio creation, and a mock trading simulation. Participants showcased their understanding of asset allocation, risk management, and strategic decision-making. The event fostered cross-college collaboration and competitive spirit.

With an aim to go beyond academics, industrial visit offers students a practical perspective on the world of work. Industrial visits are organized by colleges to students with an objective of providing students functional opportunities in different sectors like IT, Manufacturing and services, finance and marketing. Industrial visit helps to combine theoretical knowledge with industrial knowledge.

Objectives: –

  2. It gives the students an acquaintance to current work practices to experience theoretical knowledge being taught at their college classrooms.
